Welcome BACK!

WANT SOME GET SOME! Yea its 420!

Well the Site has now been back up since the 15th of December and the forums though not having been fully replaced by the original, still has been productive and the site has been found by original friends and members. At this current date the forum member base consists of 17 members... I only hope that the trend continues and we get some badass MMO on the horizon. (maybe Age of Conan, Warhammer or even Star Gate Worlds.) That, could possibly reunite us somewhat, or those of which would be interested in those MMO's to say just say so, lets do something!

Mustaffa, Caymon, and Demo have decided to dive ballz deep into eq2 and bring back... Blind Faith Division. Now that we're up and running again picking up a few stragglers as we always have, we set forth to experience Kunark (Greatest EQ1 Expansion) as more than just a rag tag few. This game is much better than the rap it gets, Kunark seems to be very much what I had expected, a badass expansion. Even the last 2 expansions werent that bad, this game still isnt an A+, I give it a B. EQ2 will be adding epic weapon quest soon to the game and I recomend being involved in this campaign.

We're here, we're standing forth, get your saddles ready, the second coming of BFD, is off, and going. Where's our 4th horseman? Sign up for BFD today.

Demo here...

Well you found us, and see the sites back up. Though it is not up in its full glory (The database for the old forums hasnt been fully restored in working fassion, though I do have it in its entirety). I hope to soon have it installed as it was, with everyones user names and passwords still intact, check back often.

I should have taken up the oppurtunity to take over the site when it came available when Ice (Jen) decided to let go of it and pass it on to one of us all...

Untill then I am going to put up a temporary forums please bare with me on this effort.

Well the day after....no burns, blasts, or loss of limb, it was a good one.

I toss a small PvP related article your way today from the MMOMaster. I totally agree with him about how AI in games should be addressed. I don't fucking understand what iz so hard for companies to get....balance the classes for PvP and utilize this understanding for your PvE AI. In this article he does ask Peter Tyson aka Calista a few good Dragon Empires PvP questions..

Sunday, July 4th

Happy 4th you worthless bastards!! Here's a little Darwinism for the day. (I liked the part about the dogs just chillin in the pens afterwards, was funny as hell.) Just remember that Firewerks > U.

I gotta give some huge props to Codemasters for their recent published title "Soldiers - Heroes of WWII". An amazing RTS that has taken that genre to the next level. You should really download the demo and check it out if your a fanboi. It's the most in-depth RTS I've ever played.

People grinding away like mad in COH. Several Jagged Legion are 44 plus now....Reseg and Wiley just to name a couple. Here's a shot of Ghost Falcon, your 40 plus SO contact located right off the dock in Peregrine Island
and turning around to look behind, you will find the statue of Miss Cameltoe.

Here's a little tidbit from Statesman.

Mentoring - reverse Sidekicking a possibility?
      #812038 - 07/02/04 08:04 AM

I have several friends I woudl like to play with but are much lower level than me. NP you think - just Sk them..

problem is is that I would like to help them on their story arcs and missions which I cannot do without trivialising their content.

I would like the designers to consider that a lower level coudl invite someone as thier 'Mentor' whom woudl then act as 1 level over the SK on mission maps(maps only as an ambush from a level 40 when you've been 'mentored' to level 21 woudl be .. dificult). This woudl allow me to help my friends without trivialising their encounters.

This feature is not only possible, but extremely likely in the near future.

Off topic but I thought was interesting EQ Emulator. Everquest mods that are free to play. Makes me wonder about PvP and GM command servers. hmmm.

Hats off to Winter's Roar tho. This emulator has been running for over two years and has it's own flair to EQ.  It uses content all the way up to the Plane of Power expansion. Some of the high points about this game are:

Old school gear without the mudflation. You have to work for your gear.

Faster exp than live.

That you can die and wake up at your bind spot fully equipped and not have to sweat doing a cr.

The exp debt system vs losing exp.

Different AI.

You can look for Issue #2 in late August. That is not a promise, but that is the time we're shooting for.

Still bored even with the new content and I continue to see less of us daily. Grinding out 50 has become a crap ass chore....It's not a adventure....it's your fucking job! I did however snag a pic of Maringer's toon....Jebadiah Fusoe....nah, he's not bitter. =P

For those of you who give a shit, here's the latest Lin 2 newsletter.

Monday, June 28th

Very nice, smooth, and stable update by Cryptic. Average number of bugs, but none game breaking imo. Only 2 hours downtime and the game iz up and running all day without any server problems.

Five minutes into the game and I quickly remember how I get owned by purple lts. Smoke, Flame, Full Au...dead...to. "Bah, smoke stuck...that was a fluke!" another 2 minutes and 100k debt later, I log to start my day to think about how gimp I have become overnight.

Here's a pic of my toon standing before one of the portal mission gates.

Sunday, June 27th

Back to the Hive for our last run at Hamidon before Monday's patch goes live. Running with Jagged Legion, we once again defeated the mountain of spew. It was different this time as the mito's had a longer range, so it took abit longer this round, bout 2 hours. Anyho, here's my SS of Hammi at night

The much anticipated new content patch goes live tomorrow morning.

1st Features Update "Through the Looking Glass"
      #782557 - 06/28/04 07:52 PM

Welcome to City of Heroes First Features Update!

From the far corners of the world, heroes have responded selflessly to the distress call of Paragon City. Heroes like you have taken up the gauntlet, standing tall between an ever-encroaching night and a new dawn. Thanks to you and your fellow heroes, the streets of Paragon City are safer, and evildoers throughout this majestic city no longer rule with impunity. You have earned a job well done and the thanks of a grateful city… but that was yesterday.

Today, new threats are upon you. Today, you have to bind up your wounds, strengthen your powers and take a heroic leap—

Through the Looking Glass…

The Features Update goes live tomorrow, Tuesday, June 29--so this is your last chance to download the update and grab a head start!

Be prepared to play in new zones, accept new missions and experience other exciting game enhancing additions. Be prepared for the next level of super-powered gameplay.

Through the Looking Glass includes the following new content:

2 New City Zones

*Peregrine Island – This zone, north of Talos Island, is home to the secretive Portal Corporation.

*Rikti Crash Site – In this zone, the Rikti War still rages. Join the battle and keep Earth safe from the alien invaders.

New twists to missions

*5th Column Prison – When you’re defeated in certain equipped 5th Column bases, you will have more to deal with than a hospital bill.

*Circle of Thorns Crystal Prison – Like the 5th Column, if you are defeated in selected lairs, the Circle of Thorns will have a big surprise in store for you.

*Circle of Thorns Gate Room – The Circle has found a new method of protecting its dark secrets: the Gate Room.

*Circle of Thorns Orichalchum Crystals – Magic can bring power, or magic can bring pain. These crystals have become infused with the Circle’s dark magic, and heroes will often find themselves surprised by the results.

*Tech Danger Lab – Technology can be somewhat unreliable. The only way to find out what the Tech Danger Lab holds is to experiment and observe the results.

Outdoor Mission Maps

*The villains of Paragon City have taken the fight to the streets.

Contact\Mission\Story Arc Content For levels 40-50

*The sick amusements of the Carnival of Shadows have turned deadly. Learn the source of their powers on your quest to save a single soul.

*Expose the darkness in Countess Crey’s closets and bring her secrets to light at last.

*Begin to plumb the depths of the mysterious Malta Group.

*Nemesis: How far will the Prussian Prince of Automatons go in his bid to conquer America?

*As with many new technologies, Portal Corporation’s advances involve great risks. Venture to alternate realities to keep Paragon City safe from the many hazards of the multiverse.

*Is there any hope for peace between the Rikti and Earth? Not if you don’t keep your eye on the factions that have begun to splinter Rikti society.

*The Praetorian supervillains may well be the greatest threat your fair city has ever faced. Take the battle to their home dimension to keep Paragon City safe.

Trial Room

*Sewer Trial Room – Deep within the sewer system, something is growing. Characters between levels 38 and 40 must battle the Hydra to keep it contained – but be sure to come prepared for a long, hard fight.

Tailor

*Now your costume can change and evolve with your hero. At 3 locations within Paragon City, you can update your outfit – for a price.

*At levels 20, 30 and 40, you can earn extra costume slots by performing tasks for Icon’s tailors. Now you can customize your look on a daily basis! You may perform these tasks at any level after the initial level.

Saturday, June 26th

Laid back evening of just dicking off in COH. I did however take the time to post the latest Newsletter for Dragon Empires. Not much really, just commenting on the beta 1 holdup. You can check it out here

Friday, June 25rd

Much more of the same as Jagged Legion along with a few others again take down Hammidon and snag some nice 43rd level SOs for some peeps. Took him down in an hour and a half with 2 full groups. Was a cake walk.....next time should be around 45 minutes total.

Wednesday, June 23rd

The quest is on for that special someone, I can't believe that not one chick has responded to my classified ad. I mean, c'mon....iz that too much to ask?

Tonight Jagged Legion, some randoms, couple of Supergroups, and Gravez and myself took down Hammidon. The ultimate Arch Villian in COH. This was build 3 of Hammi and although it took us awhile, we still took his ass down. Definitely a server first for this build. Next patch will be interesting since they are upping him to level 50. Not much loot wise, some real crappy enhancements dropped and being only 25 percent increase leaves us wondering "wtf iz the point?". Anyho, here's a pic of Hammi down to just a couple of mitos left.

Saturday, June 19th

Being the slacker that I am, I guess it's time for another update.

Some of us lead by Gravez, took the plunge into City of Heroes. After 30 dayz of playing Fusoe and myself maxxed out our toon at 40th level. Gravez iz right behind us at 38. It's a rather simple game with a couple of great ideas to add to the mix, but without pvp and more end game content, this game has already achieved beyond bored status for most of us.

Icecis still iz enjoying Shadowbane running under the WMD nation. WMD iz still holding their own as UBI asia was cancelled and the Japs have invaded Entropy. It definitely has raised the stakes abit and added more targets to the mix.

Sunday, April 11th

Happy Easter You Bitches! Ice tells me today that no bars are open. Bah, my response "Sheet....In Oklahoma City there iz a titty bar called the Red Dog that proudly hangs a banner inside that states "Open 365 dayz a year"". Mexican food and several cervesa's later and my Easter Sunday iz satisfied.

Continuing the SB saga.......After taking it up the ass in DW, but farming and leveling like bitches, we finally join a nation with enuff ballz to be RPK. Under the VC tag in SB we roll many nation/guilds/groups and dish out the pain like we are accustom to. Watching the server evolve, owning a sweet ass rolling city, and killing anything not VC was a nice run for us, took many aggressions out. Like a hot day at the children's petting zoo. All have parted SB except for Ice and myself, but the pure fact of not having to level and just hopping on to kill has the both of us feeling very comfy.

Life in SWG not longer exists for BFD...thank fucking god. That piece of shit game has finally received the black flag from BFD leaving nothing but retards and fools to continue paying for that regurgitated scat they call a mmorpg. Carebear sim wars.

We are still spread out across the net playing a variety of games. Lin 2, City of Heroes, WWII, and SB are the main ones that people are putting time into. Several of us still here....just not united yet.......................
